This love story started in 2009, at a Halloween party at Shippensburg University. Emily was dressed as a police officer when Adam approached her with his business card, dressed as a motocross racer. Needless to say, for Emily it wasn't "love at first sight" and she ditched the business card. Adam hit her up on Facebook for a solid six weeks until Emily gave in and agreed to let him take her to Taco Bell before going out with friends...and the rest is history. Our four years at college together is something we will cherish forever, we were young and in love and were devastated to not be neighbors in the next chapter of our lives. Adam dedicated his time after college to growing his businesses in Lancaster, while Emily took on the retail world, floating back and forth from Philly and NYC. While we lived in different cities for six years, there was never a moment we didn't support one another's dreams. In 2019, we made a leap and Emily moved herself to Lancaster where we purchased our first home in the city.
The weekend of July 30th, Emily and Adam traveled to Lewes, Delaware for an annual beach trip with friends. We enjoyed days on the beach and Emily's friend Jasmine suggested we all go to the beach Friday night at sunset to get pictures. Adam was beyond excited to drive on the beach, so all six of us squeezed in our Jeep and headed to Cape Henelopen for pictures. We arrived and toasted to our beach trip with white claws at sunset and the picture taking began. Adam and Emily were the last couple to take photos and next thing you know Adam was on his knee proposing. Not only was he able to surprise her with a proposal, shortly after he pointed up to an overlook where both of our family's were watching and cheering. It was truly the most magical moment, and to top it off Adam hired a photographer to capture these special moments. After the proposal, Adam planned a beautiful dinner..he knocked this proposal out of the park. We spent the rest of our weekend on the beach with our friends and family. It was a weekend neither of us will ever forget!
