Rose and Kooper’s paths first crossed in middle school at North Raleigh Christian Academy, but it wasn’t until senior year that they became close friends during a class trip to Disney World. Upon arriving at the Magic Kingdom, Rose exclaimed “Anyone who wants to have fun, follow me!” and Kooper thought to himself, “Well, I want to have fun- I’m in!” And from that point on, they have had many fun adventures, becoming close friends and spending much of their time together. Soon after, Rose asked Kooper to the Sadie Hawkins dance and they had such a great time that Kooper asked Rose to prom just a few weeks later. From then on, life moved fast as they both moved to Boone to attend college and dove headfirst into building a church community, exploring the mountains, and growing individually and together through the highs and lows. Three years after walking the stage together at their high school graduation, they were thrilled to walk the stage at Appalachian State University together as well! The Lord’s hand can be seen in their story as He provided the right person for each of them when they needed someone. He has allowed them to grow together over the years, and they cannot wait for this next step in their journey. Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Rose and Kooper hope to sharpen each other, encouraging each other to grow in their faith and walk with the Lord. They are excited to celebrate this new union with all of you in January!
