We're getting married!

Lexi first heard about Brady back in high school in 2015. She was a junior at Appleton East, and he was a junior at Stevens Point Area Senior High. They didn’t know each other personally, but they had a lot in common; both wrestled, both competed in the same weight class, and both were making names for themselves in Wisconsin’s tight-knit wrestling community. It was hard not to hear about Brady and his twin brother, Dylan. Lexi’s name floated around, too, mostly because there weren’t many girls wrestling back then. Later that school year, Lexi traveled to Madison to support one of her teammates at the state wrestling tournament. Brady was there too, competing at 106 pounds, and Lexi just so happened to catch his win for the state title later that week. Fast forward almost a year later to January 2017. Lexi and Brady were seniors, both wrestling 113 pounds at the De Pere Redbird Duals. For a brief moment, it seemed like they might actually wrestle each other, but their teams never ended up facing one another. Instead, they both competed against Marinette that day. Dylan pinned Marinette’s 120-pounder in 1:10, and later, Lexi bumped up to 120 pounds and pinned the same wrestler in just 18 seconds. (She likes to bring that up sometimes 🤭). After high school, life took them in separate directions. Years passed, careers were built, and memories of those old tournaments faded. Then, six years later, fate (or maybe a well-timed algorithm) brought them back together. Like many modern love stories, theirs started with a swipe. Both Lexi and Brady were on dating apps when Lexi spotted a familiar face on Bumble. With a mix of curiosity and nostalgia, she swiped right… and to her surprise, they matched. Their first conversation was effortless, and by the time they went on their first date, it was clear there was something more.
