Our ceremony will begin at 4:30 EST. Cocktail hour, dinner and dancing to follow. Everything is on-site at our venue, Saugatuck Center for the Arts.
The wedding reception will be held at Saugatuck Center for the Arts. The address is: 400 Culver St, Saugatuck, MI 49453
While most people have decided to stay within walking distance from the venue, drivers have two parking options. Option 1: There is a large public parking lot directly to the west of the venue that will be charging $10/car (subject to availability on MDW). Option 2: Nearby Saugatuck High School has plentiful free parking available and a free shuttle service running every 15 minutes which brings you to the venue. The parking lot at Saugatuck Center for the Arts will be closed to cars to accommodate our event.
We are planning an entirely outdoor wedding for the ceremony and reception. The venue has an indoor area with restrooms and a lobby with couches. Dinner will be outside under a covered pavilion, and we will provide space heaters. As weather in Michigan at the end of May can be unpredictable, we recommend bringing a jacket in case it is cold.
Cocktail attire including dresses & dressy jumpsuits for the women & suit or slacks with tie and sport coat for the gentlemen. Bring along a jacket or layers as it is an outdoor wedding for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing.
In the instance of rain, we will still have everything on-site at Saugatuck Center for the Arts. The ceremony, cocktail hour and dancing will be moved indoors. Dinner will still take place outside under their covered pavilion.
Saugatuck is located in western Michigan along Lake Michigan. It is located approximately 2 hours from Midway airport or 2.5 hours from O'Hare airport (depending on traffic/rush hour/holiday travel).
No, we did not book a traditional hotel room block. We did get discounted prices for hotel rooms for our guests at various locations in the area. Please follow this link to research your accommodations: https://bit.ly/3CZqQQ3
Stay wherever you like! We recommend staying in downtown Saugatuck walking distance to the venue. If you choose to stay elsewhere in the greater area, never fear- there is a huge parking lot next to the venue for $10/car or free parking at the high school with a free shuttle service every 15 minutes.
We would love for guests to begin arriving on Friday or Saturday of Memorial Day weekend for a fun destination trip. We understand if you cannot attend until the day of the wedding Sunday May 29.
To help alleviate the risks for our guests due to Covid-19, we have chosen an outdoor venue where the ceremony and reception will all be held. In the instance of rain, the ceremony, cocktail hour and dancing will be moved indoors, and dinner will still be served outside under a covered pavilion. Guests will not be required to wear a mask.
