How do I find the pavilion?

Answer

Good question! The pavilion is located on Bath Road, next to Silver Lake. We will have signs to help find it.

What's the parking situation?

Answer

There is one main parking lot near the pavilion. A paved path connects the lot to the pavilion. I believe there is handicap parking here. A smaller, gravel lot is also close to the pavilion with a paved path that connects to it. There is also parking at Silver Lake Nature Center, however that may be a longer walk and I don't believe there is a paved path to the pavilion. We will have signs at the two lots that are close to the pavilion. Carpooling may be best.

Yup! There's a public restroom right by the pavilion. A paved path connects the pavilion to the restrooms.

What is "handfasting"?

Answer

Handfasting is a tradition where a braided cord is wrapped around the bride and groom's hands. This signifies the joining of two lives and the commitment of love. A literal form of "tying the knot".

Picnic wedding! Dress cute and comfortable. Expect games, outdoor activities, and good ol' mother nature.
