FAQs

The Wedding Website of Katie Konesky and Ryan McKown
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP by August 1st through our wedding website. This deadline allows us to provide our vendors with accurate guest counts. If you're unable to RSVP online, please contact Katie at (724) 472-6734 or Ryan at (412) 980-3524, and be sure to include your meal selection.

Question

When and where is the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Our ceremony begins at 3 p.m. We kindly ask that you arrive by 2:30 p.m. to allow ample time for parking and seating, with guests seated by 2:45 p.m. Should you arrive after the ceremony has begun, please wait outside the ceremony doors until the service concludes before entering. Both the ceremony and reception will be held at the LeMont. Upon arrival, head left, and you'll find our room as the last space on your right.

Question

Where is parking?

Answer

Valet parking will be available at Lemont for $9 per vehicle. We'd love to encourage carpooling if that works for your group—it's a wonderful way to arrive together and enjoy the celebration!

Question

Am I allowed to take photos or videos at the ceremony?

Answer

We're thrilled you'll be celebrating with us! To help everyone stay present and enjoy the moment together, we're keeping our ceremony unplugged. Our talented photographers, Julie and Kate, will capture every detail, and we'll share those photos with you right away. We're also having the ceremony professionally videographed, and we can't wait to share the video with all of our guests. We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony so we can all be fully immersed in this special time together.

Question

Is there assigned seating for the ceremony and reception/What are the place cards for?

Answer

Yes, there will be assigned seating for both the ceremony and reception. We've thoughtfully arranged this to ensure seamless dinner service and create a warm, celebratory atmosphere for everyone. When you arrive, you'll find place cards displayed on a table near the entrance. Simply locate your card, and it will direct you to your assigned table, where it will help us coordinate your meal selection for a seamless dinner service. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

How do I provide my meal selection?

Answer

When you RSVP on our wedding website, you'll select your entrée from our curated menu: New York Strip Steak (served medium rare, with the option to adjust at your table), Chicken Bruschetta, Grilled Salmon, or Kid's Chicken Tenders. If you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies, please don't hesitate to reach out to Katie or Ryan directly.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos or videos at the reception?

Answer

Absolutely! We'd love for you to capture the celebration. Please feel free to share any photos or videos from the reception with the bride or groom-we'd be delighted to see them!

Question

Can we share photos or videos on social media?

Answer

We'd appreciate it if you'd hold off on sharing photos or videos from our wedding on social media. We're planning to make a formal announcement ourselves, and we'd love to preserve that special moment for our official reveal. Thank you for understanding and respecting our wishes!

Question

What's the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Our wedding calls for formal attire. Gentlemen, we invite you to wear a suit, while ladies may choose an elevated cocktail dress, formal gown, or pantsuit. We also kindly ask for you to wear comfortable shoes—we're looking forward to dancing with you all evening!

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Yes, we're delighted to provide an open bar for all our guests! We do ask that everyone enjoy responsibly. For your convenience, we've listed nearby hotels on our travel page—we recommend booking accommodations in advance. Should you need transportation, Uber and Lyft are readily available in the area.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?

Answer

We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guest list just to those who know us well. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation, and no additional guests can be accommodated.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Unfortunately, as much as we'd love to invite all of our friends' children, we can only accommodate a few close family children. We hope that you will understand this decision and that you will still be able to join us on our special day. If your children are invited, it will be clearly listed on your invitation. Please RSVP, including whether children are attending or not, on our wedding website.

Question

Reminder for the parents of young children choosing to attend the wedding!

Answer

We absolutely adore your little ones, and their comfort and safety are our top priorities. Since both the ceremony and reception will be professionally recorded, we kindly ask that parents remain mindful of noise levels to help preserve the video quality. Should you need support during either event, we've arranged a lovely indoor space adjacent to the reception area where you can step away if needed. We trust you to make the best decision for your child's experience, and we simply ask that you remain attentive and ready to gently remove them from any moments where they might feel overwhelmed or cause disruption. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility.

Question

Is there a guest book?

Answer

Yes! Our guest book will be located by the photo booth. We'd love for all our guests to snap a Polaroid photo—whether at the booth or on the dance floor—and attach it to our guest book along with a personal message. It's a wonderful way for us to remember each of you on our special day. If there's leftover film at the end of the reception, please feel free to take some photos home as a keepsake! 🤍

Question

Will there be a grand exit?

Answer

Yes! We'd love your help in making our exit special. You'll find bubbles and sparklers by the exit door—please grab a set and join us at the lookout. Line up along the path, blow bubbles, and wave sparklers as we make our way through. It'll be magical! 🎊

Question

Is there an after party?

Answer

Yes, we'd love to continue celebrating with you! After the reception, we'll be heading to Steel Mill Saloon (1225 Grandview Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15211). Everyone 21 and older is welcome to join us—and the best part is, it's just a short walk from the LeMont! 🥂
