In anticipation of your arrival, we wanted to share that exciting updates to the resort are underway. Some of these improvements may overlap with your visit, but we’re working hard to ensure you have the best experience possible. Among the most exciting updates coming to Hawks Cay is a new restaurant concept – but the details are still under wraps. While we wait to reveal more about what’s to come for the former 61 Prime space, we’re adding alternative experiences beginning October 1st to enhance your stay. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner in your guest room as an added option. Our poolside Tiki Grill is expanding its dinner menu, including a daily selection of fresh seafood and shellfish. Open daily at 11:00am, with dinner service from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. Angler & Ale now offers premium butcher's cut steaks, joining its selection of fresh fish, meats, pastas, salads, and other delicious dishes. Enjoy a waterfront brunch at Angler & Ale every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Indulge in our delicious fried chicken & waffles, crab cake 'benedict,' avocado toast, and more. Introducing a newly opened food kiosk and retail space in the resort lobby for a taste of local flavors and a touch of retail therapy. What is the dress code?

The dress code is resort casual, be tropical, be comfy!

What is the weather like in the area?

Answer

The Florida Keys weather is some of the best in the world but like all tropical paradises, there could be a chance of rain. Don't worry though! Hawks Cay does provide an indoor backup plan, so if it looks like inclement weather, we will be inside.

What is the Menu Like?

Answer

We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a buffet with a few different options, so there should be something for everyone! No need to preselect menu items. If you do have an allergy or special dietary need please feel free to contact the Bride and a special arrangement can be made.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will absolutely be an open bar during the cocktail hour from 5-6 and reception 6-9, followed by an open bar at the after party 10-12

Is there Transportation to the Ceremony Location

Answer

Yes, if you are staying on the property the Sunset Ceremony Lawn is a short walk or golf cart ride from the Hotel or Villas. It is located on the southwest side of the island behind the Villas. A trolley service will be provided to and from the Sunset Ceremony Lawn with pick up starting at 4:00 in the Main Lobby of the Hawks Cay Resort.

Will there be a time gap between the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

There will be a cocktail hour immediately following the wedding ceremony. Transportation by trolley will be provided by Hawks Cay from the wedding ceremony to the cocktail hour. The drop-off location will be in front of the Main Lobby.

What is there to do at Hawks Cay Resort?

Answer

Enjoy everything from snorkel and scuba packages to dolphin encounters right outside your door. Book a Florida Keys fishing charter, swim with a dolphin, dive among living coral reefs, or paddle to secluded tropical islands. You will also find a spa, pickleball, and tennis courts, multiple pools, and a private saltwater lagoon. Each of these activities is available on-property.

Is the Hotel Pet Friendly?

Answer

Yes - The Hawks Cay Resort Main Hotel is pet-friendly, you can request a pet form when booking. Please note that the townhomes run by the Hawks Cay Resort ARE NOT pet-friendly. *** Some of the townhomes on Duck Key run through Airbnb and VRBO do allow dogs. Check with the owners directly.
