We met through a mutual friend while Komal was back in Las Vegas, hitting the books for her MCAT. That summer turned into a whirlwind of shared moments: late-night study sessions at the UNLV library, sweating it out together at LVAC gym, binge-watching "How I Met Your Mother," and gathering for the weekly drama of "The Bachelorette" at our friend’s place. Audwin, who couldn’t care less about the show, showed up every week just to spend more time with Komal. Audwin’s game was subtle but relentless. He’d sneak into the library, a Starbucks surprise in hand, making Komal’s heart skip a beat every time. Despite Komal keeping him in the “friend zone,” Audwin had a different plan in mind. Little did she know, he was ready to rewrite their story, one charming coffee delivery at a time.

Soon after taking the MCAT, Komal headed back to UCLA to wrap up some classes, but that didn't stop Audwin. Every weekend, like clockwork, he’d hop over to LA, eager to dive into Komal’s world. She gave him the grand tour of her “LA lifestyle” – from cozy mornings at Philz Coffee to sunset strolls on the Santa Monica Pier, lively nights at the Bungalow, and even his inaugural (and definitely not last) shopping experience at Lululemon. The big news came soon: Komal got into medical school at UNLV and was moving back to Vegas for good. To celebrate their first official date, Audwin went all out. Channeling his inner Bachelorette, he whisked Komal away on a breathtaking helicopter ride over the Strip, followed by a decadent five-course dinner. It was on this magical night that they officially became a couple, and Komal knew she’d been...quite literally...swept off her feet.

Fast forward 8 years, and our love story has blossomed into something truly magical. We've both finished our undergrad degrees, moved into our cozy little 2 bedroom apartment, and are now the proud parents of our adorable 5-month-old puppy, Baloo! Our hearts are full as we embark on new adventures together, whether we're jetting off to new places or enjoying laughter-filled evenings with family and friends. Komal is currently pursuing a dual MD/MPH degree and Audwin, has already nailed it with a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration and is now conquering a second Master's in Nursing in Las Vegas. We're both set to graduate in May 2025, and our excitement is through the roof as we dream about the thrilling chapters ahead. Here's to love, ambition, and endless possibilities! #MambaMentality

After months of secret scheming, Audwin finally popped the question on 09/23/23. While Komal always dreamed of a beach proposal, Audwin knew Vegas held a special place in their hearts since it’s where their love story began. Determined to make it unforgettable, Audwin orchestrated a master plan: he flew in Komal’s closest friends and family to surprise her at the stunning Lake Las Vegas. Taking Komal’s hand, he whispered, “I know you wanted a beach proposal, so I brought the beach to you.” Cue the tears and cheers! After a dinner with loved ones, in true Vegas fashion, Audwin and Komal celebrated the night away at Encore Beach Club! Thank you for reading our love story!
