MEET THE WEDDING PARTY

Meet our wedding party — the ones who hold a special place in our hearts!

Sara Frank

Bride

First and last marriage — we're doing this once, and doing it right! 💍💅✨👰‍♀️

Kolby Nicholas

Groom

Wanted a wedding vs elopement. 🥹

Mike Frank

Father of the Bride

Sara’s father has always dreamed of this day and has been incredibly supportive of both Sara and Kolby. He even took dance lessons with Sara for their Father-Daughter dance, making sure they were ready for the big moment. As a thoughtful gesture, he also gifted the couple their engagement photos, capturing the beginning of their journey together.

Kent Nicholas

Father of the Groom

Kent is overjoyed that his son is getting married and proudly displays a picture of the couple on his fridge for all to see. He’s called Kolby a few times to share how happy he is that Kolby is marrying Sara, expressing his excitement and pride every chance he gets. Kent is where Kolby gets his sense of humor and love for dad jokes! Kolby is excited to become a dad himself and feels like Kent has already set him up for success with all those dad jokes.

Marcy Frank

Mother of the Bride

Marcy is the woman who believed in Sara’s happily ever after even more than Sara herself. She was there for Sara’s first wedding dress shopping experience and played a key role in picking out the perfect dress — making the moment even more special. Sara and Marcy talk almost daily on the phone spilling tea, and planning for the wedding. Marcy is baking the couples wedding cake for their special day! Marcy is super excited that Kolby and Sara are getting married and the second Christmas they were together she made a custom stocking to match the Frank Family’s Christmas Stockings, which was super meaningful way to express how happy she is that Kolby is a part of the family.

Kathy Nicholas

Mother of the Groom

Kathy has been a huge supporter of the soon-to-be newlyweds from the moment they first met. She took dance lessons with Kolby for their Mother-Son dance, making sure they were ready to share that special moment. Kathy has also been a huge help with various projects around the couple's new home and even taught the couple a delicious and potent Kahlúa recipe. It's now a tradition to make it during the winter holidays.

Stacey Reiman

Matron of Honor

Sara has known Stacey for over 21+ years — they’ve been inseparable since middle school and high school. They share multiple matching tattoos and talked on the phone every single day for over five years! From screaming Fall Out Boy lyrics to dancing at raves, from small-town roots to chasing big-city dreams, from spontaneous tattoos to international adventures—these two have grown together from 13 into their 30s, and the journey is only just beginning. Last year, Sara had the honor of being Stacey’s Maid of Honor, and now Stacey is returning the love on Sara’s big day.

Keaton Nicholas

Best Man

Kolby’s older brother and best friend, Keaton, shares a close bond with him — they hang out often, and he's a regular visitor at the couple’s home. Keaton and Sara have a great relationship, too, along with his daughter, Eden. He was excited when Sara shared the news of the engagement, proudly letting her know he had already updated her contact name to “Sara Nicholas” in his phone! Keaton even helped plan a surprise party for Sara’s 33rd birthday — a memory she’ll never forget!

Alex Hamasaki

Sister of Honor

Alex is Sara’s adopted sister from China — both were born in the same orphanage and have shared a lifelong connection. Sara has known Alex longer than she has known anyone in her life, she knew Alex even before she met her adoptive parents. Alex now lives in Seattle, and the two make frequent trips between there and Portland to spend quality time together. They love going to concerts, creating art, and letting their dogs — who are cousins and the best of friends — run around and play. At one point, Sara even considered moving to Seattle just to be closer to Alex, but ultimately decided that Portland was where she belonged.

Jacob Reeves

Groomsman

They went to middle school together and lived near each other during that time. One of Kolby’s favorite childhood memories is having pepperoncini wars with him after school. Kolby’s mom, Kathy, was always curious and probably wondering, "Where are pepperoncini?" If you're reading this, Kathy (Mother of the Groom), now you know where they went! Jacob and Kolby enjoy visiting buffets, hosting Deadpool marathons, and coming up with funny comedy sketches. They also host video game nights, and Jacob's fiancée, Cassi, is close friends with Sara.

Angileah Miner

Bridesmaid

Angileah has known the bride for over 13 years! The two grew up in the same hometown and first met while working together at Sara’s very first job — Subway! A true supporter of Sara and Kolby’s love story, Angileah has always been their number one fan and is often spotted tagging along on their date nights. If you see the soon-to-be newlyweds out and about, chances are Angileah isn’t far behind!

Addam Webber

Groomsman

Kolby and Addam have been friends for 25 years, having grown up together in the same neighborhood. Addam is not just Kolby’s best friend but also his brother's. Over the years, Sara has also become close with Addam’s wife, Haylee. Kolby stood by Addam as a groomsman at his wedding, and now Addam is returning the favor. Both Kolby and Addam celebrated their bachelor parties in Lincoln City, Oregon.

Ashley Knowlton

Bridesmaid

Ashley has known the bride for over 15 years, and Sara was honored to be a bridesmaid in Ashley’s wedding back in 2018. Ashley is flying in from North Dakota for the big day, joined by her wife Charlie, who’s also a dear friend of the couple! Before Kolby entered the picture, Ashley and Charlie hosted regular game nights with Sara — and once Kolby came along, he quickly became part of the tradition too!

Matt Pease

Groomsman

Kolby first became friends with Matt’s girlfriend, Annetta, and grew even closer to Matt through the bond that Annetta and Sara shared. Both Matt and Annetta are in the wedding party. Matt and Kolby have a lot in common, from outdoor hiking trips to indoor video game marathons. Matt and Kolby love to play videos games together, and nerd out at local favorite spot Quarter World.

Annetta Stockwell

Bridesmaid

Annetta was the first of Kolby’s close girlfriends that Sara met — and they instantly clicked. As one of Kolby’s best friends, it was important to Sara to honor that bond. She couldn’t imagine their life together without Annetta being a part of it, which is why she’s standing by Sara’s side as a bridesmaid. Annetta and her boyfriend Matt (who’s also in the wedding party as a groomsman) are close with the couple, and the four of them are planning an exciting trip to Japan together in April 2026!

Cody Quinn

Groomsman

Cody is one of Sara's close friends, and through their friendship, he and Kolby have also become good friends. Sara is also close with Cody's fiancée, Thyda, and the two couples hang out together, whether it's for family activities, festivals, or camping trips. Kolby attended his first festival with Cody, and it was also the last one he went to. Kolby was part of Cody’s bachelor party last year, and now Cody is a part of his full circle. Kolby and Sara often refer to the four of them, including Cody and Thyda, as the "wolf pack." They even commemorate this bond with matching wolf-pack shirts. When Cody and Thyda's son, Dax, was born, Sara and Kolby got him a wolf stuffed animal, along with a wolf-themed kids' book. Inside the book, they wrote, "Welcome to the wolf pack."

Kelsea Anderson

Bridesmaid

Kelsea is dating Kolby’s brother, the Best Man, which makes her a future sister-in-law to both Kolby and Sara! She’s become such an important part of their lives, joining them on adventures to Vegas, Seattle, Seaside, and Arizona. Whether it's holidays or spontaneous getaways, Kelsea is always part of the fun and truly feels like family. Sara and Kolby always see her for family holidays and special occasions!

Eden Nicholas

Flower Girl

Kolby’s brothers daughter, and niece, Eden is very near and dear to both the Bride and Groom. Eden is the first baby that Kolby ever held. Sara and Kolby have spent time babysitting, and Eden brings such creativity and joy to their lives! Eden is excited for the wedding, and excited to be the flower girl! She will be going down the aisle at the ceremony with Bridesmaid Kelsea who is like a stepmom to Eden.

Journee & India Miner

Bubble Babes

Sara has known Bridesmaid Angileah’s daughters, Journee and India, since birth. It’s surreal to think that Sara once held Journee (now 12!) as a baby, and now she’s part of the wedding! Sara has always joined in for girls’ dates and birthday celebrations. During the annual Labor Day camping trip, Journee surprised Sara by calling Kolby "Uncle Kolby." Journee told Sara, "I called him that because he's your future husband." The girls will be the official "bubble babes" walking down the aisle—complete with bubble machines! Like the bubbles, they bring magic, beauty, and joy to every moment.

Xavier Jones

Ring Bearer

Xavier is Kolby’s cousin's son, making him Kolby’s nephew and soon-to-be Sara’s nephew as well. He’s so sweet, and a little shy, but mention Marvel movies, and he’ll happily open up! During Christmas, Sara asked Xavier if he wanted to be part of the wedding, and he said yes! Once they knew Xavier wanted to be the ring bearer, they asked his parents, and his Mom Danielle was so happy. It was especially meaningful because Kolby and Danielle spent so much time together on family trips growing up. Xavier’s mom, Danielle, is close to Sara and will be attending the bachelorette party, while his dad, RJ, recently joined Danielle at their engagement party.

Thomas Moss

Officiant

Thomas is one of Sara’s close friends, whom she’s known for over a decade. In recent years, he and Kolby have also become good friends. He’s one of the most frequent visitors at their house, often stopping by to hang out, watch TV, and roll backwoods. Fun fact: right before the wedding, they played a game of Texas Hold 'Em, and all three—Thomas, Kolby, and Sara—drew the same hand, a King and a Seven. The odds of that happening are 1 in 40,000! It felt cosmic, like the universe was saying, "Right place, right friends."
