You will be able to see where movies are filmed in Hawaii! The most famous.... Jurassic Park!

Hanauma Bay Nature Park

Better get here early because the parking lot will fill up quickly! Enjoy snorkeling with fish and potentially turtles!

Polynesian Cultural Center

Polynesian Cultural Center

55-370 Kamehameha Highway, Laie, HI 96762
, (800) 367-7060

For a true cultural experience this place is where to go. Spend the day exploring all the villages around Polynesia to learn about different cultures and people. While the night show HA Breath of Life may seem expensive it is definitely worth the cost. If you are wanting to experience a luau this would be the place to combine with the show.

Diamond Head Crater

Diamond Head Crater

Honolulu, HI 96815

Climb the most iconic crater in Hawaii. There is a small fee to enter the park but it’s worth being able to look at pictures Hawaii saying you have climbed it. The hike has many stairs, lots of elevation, and will be hot. Bring lots of water.

Lanikai Pillbox Hike

Lanikai Pillbox Hike

265 Kaelepulu Drive, Kailua, HI 96734

More steep climbing (Hawaii mountains for you). This hike leads to two WWII Pillboxes with great views of the windward side of Oahu. Please be careful as you park along the road. Follow no parking signs and make sure you are facing the proper direction or you may get a ticket... Then please be respectful as you walk through the neighborhood. Growing up we would often hike and then walk down to Lanikai Beach to cool off.

Makapuʻu Point Lighthouse Trail

Makapuʻu Point Lighthouse Trail

Makapuʻu Point Lighthouse Trail, Waimanalo, HI

Another mountain hike but this one is paved the entire way with sweeping ocean views. On a clear day you can see Molokai and Maui. Enjoy the beautiful drive on the way to the hike.

Waikiki

Waikiki

151 Kapahulu Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96815
, (808) 971-7171

If you want to get into the hustle and bustle Waikiki is the place to be. The best bet would be to park at the Honolulu Zoo parking lot and either walk to the beach or walk the main road all through Waikiki. Parking can seem $$ so if you want to try and get free parking but about an extra walk you can try park in the Waikiki Shell Parking lot.

Boots & Kimo's Homestyle Kitchen

Boots & Kimo's Homestyle Kitchen

151 Hekili Street, Kailua, HI 96734
, (808) 263-7929

Another breakfast place. Expect long lines and good food. The tourists have found out about this place but locals are still willing to wait every so often for a treat. The Macadamnia nut pancakes are their speciality.

Koa Pancake House

Koa Pancake House

46-126 Kahuhipa Street, Kaneohe, HI 96744
, (808) 235-5772

One of the family’s favorite early morning breakfast spots! Local and typical morning breakfast options. The Sweet Bread French toast is a local favorite!

Duke's Waikiki

Duke's Waikiki
