In August 2014 my college roommate said "I want you to meet someone" and if I only knew then where I would be almost 10 years later. At the time he had a girlfriend so I instantly threw him in the friend-zone. In fact I totally forgot about him until he said hi to me everyday in racquetball class and after weeks I finally realized "oh you're that guy my roommate introduced me to". After that we were best friends, watching Bruins games together, having pizza nights and spending many nights at the local college bar. Whenever I needed anything he was always there, so it was pretty obvious he always liked me. Flash forward to 4 years later, post grad on a beach trip when Kolby pretended to date our friend Emily to get free drinks. And thats when it clicked -I sat there wishing it was me he was pretending with. He was everything I had always wanted and more. And thats the day he left the friend-zone and the rest is history! Now I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with my best friend!

In fall of 2014, Lex's roommate desperately wanted me to meet her because she was "so cool" and "fun". I thought she was just hyping her up, but I was totally wrong. Lex and I shared a racquetball class with one another and I always said good morning to her. It took her about 4-5 weeks until she realized that I was her roommate's friend and not just some kid trying to hit on her...typical. We continued to get closer as friends. We would share lunch with one another and she would come over to share our love for Boston sports. We immediately had a good, strong connection with one another. Unfortunately for me, Lex tossed me in the friend zone, locked the door and threw away the key. FINALLY, after waiting four agonizingly long years, we both ended up single after graduation and decided to give it a shot. It was my turn to return the favor and make her wait four years for the ring she rightfully deserved. Now its time for Lex and I to make our adventure together. I guess good things really do come to those who wait patiently.
