a day to remember

Our love story all began on a boat out on Lake Hopatcong in August 2020. Lauren was making the trip to celebrate her friend’s birthday out on the lake, while Mark was a seasoned veteran. The boats had all tied up and it wasn’t very long before we made our way to each other, singing country music on the top of our lungs. The boat day ended but the party did not. We reconnected later that night in the Sandelli’s living room as soon as Luke Combs started playing. We got a little closer as the songs progressively got a little slower, until eventually we shared our first kiss. We ended the night exchanging numbers and “hoping” to see each other again, even though we both knew this was the start of something. By October, we were officially dating and talking about marrying each other one day.
