Matt has been a regular at karaoke since 2016, and after COVID when Kim moved back home, she started going too. They would see each other often and offer polite hellos, but it wasn’t until August 2022 that they would actually sit down together and start chatting. Sparks were flying, so Matt leaned in for a kiss, but Kim told him he needed to take her out on a date first. He agreed and serenaded her with Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get it On.” The rest was history.
