On June 24th, 2023 - Matthew proposed to Alexa! It was Matt's birthday weekend and we were celebrating in our happy place, Sea Isle City. On Friday, we drove down the beach and Alexa had absolutely no clue what was to come. We had a casual pizza night with Alexa's parents, brother, and sister in law. On Saturday morning, Matt woke Alexa up and asked if she wanted to go on a morning walk. Her parents joined them on the walk. Matt came up with the idea to actually go on the beach and walk. We had to all sprint on the promenade as there was currently a 5K going on and it was almost impossible to get onto the beach. From there, as soon as we got close to the water, Matt took Alexa's hand and popped the important question! We immediately went back to our beach house where Matt told Alexa he planned a photoshoot with our amazing cousin, Nick. When we got back from the photoshoot, we were greeted by all of our family. It was a total shock to Alexa that he had planned a surprise engagement people with all of our important people.
