I moved from Nevada to Oregon in 2016 because I wanted to live somewhere new for college. I was going to school and working as a barista for a couple years and in late 2018 my coworker invited me to their weekly game night in Portland. That's where I met Alex, but we just introduced ourselves and proceeded to not speak to each other for the rest of the night. I was shy, and he thought I was too cool for him, so we completely ignored each other. This was during a time when I decided to stop dating people and just be. It wasn’t until the next time I attended that Alex started to chat with me and I found him really charming. He asked me on a date shortly after. I don’t remember what we talked about, but it only took one dinner date for me to fall for him. In a completely out-of-character move for me, I gave him a kiss at the end of the night. I had a strong feeling I had found my person, and I was right!
