Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The aesthetic is woodland chic. The majority of the event is outside, surrounded by trees, so wear something beautiful yet not-so-fancy you'd risk getting it dirty. We suggest a comfortable pair of flat shoes (or better yet, go barefoot!), sun-dresses, linen pants, and some type of sweater, scarf or jacket for after the sun goes down.

What's the venue like?

Answer

The venue is the Hines Hill Campus, located within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP). The ceremony will be held outside, dinner will be under a white-top tent, and after dinner activities will be choose-your-own adventure including dancing in the tent, hanging by the outdoor fire, stargazing, etc. There is even a short wooded trail if you want to view the historic Stanford house. There are three bathrooms located within the onsite, temperature-controlled buildings. How might this wedding be different than others I've attended?

Answer

It likely won't be much different at all! We do ask that you NOT take pictures during the ceremony but otherwise, participate however you're comfortable. We will be serving dinner family-style, meaning you'll be sharing what is brought to the table with those seated around you. If you have any questions, we're happy to talk to you about it.

Are kids welcome?

We are celebrating with adults only. Kids are not invited to this event.

Is there parking?

Yes! There is free parking onsite.

Can I bring a date?

Please check with us before bringing a plus-one, unless they were directly invited.

I have a dietary restriction or food allergy. Can I make a special request?

Answer

Dinner will be served family-style, so please let us know when you RSVP if you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies. While we cannot accommodate everything due to the style of meal, we'll happily work with our caterer to find you a delicious dinner option to the best of our abilities.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

While we love gifts, your presence is more important to us than anything you could buy. If you would like to give a gift, we are registered through Zola and Crate & Barrel. Find more info on the registry page. We will also have a card box available at the venue.

What accommodations are available for out-of-town guests?

Answer

We've booked a hotel block at the Courtyard Marriot in Beachwood. Please visit our Travel page to be directed to their website.

Is there transportation to and from the ceremony?

Answer

Short answer: no. We are only organizing a shuttle for out of town guests and the wedding party. Transportation will only be from from the Courtyard Marriot to the venue. Pickup and drop-off times will be updated on the Travel page.

Can we use the firepit onsite?

Answer

Yes! Staff members from CVNP will light it and keep it going for us.

Anything else I should know?

Answer

We're Composting! Everything we serve and use at the venue will be compostable, unless it it obviously not disposable. We ask that you try to make sure everything ends up in the right bin. If you have any questions about where something should be thrown away, please ask any of our delightful catering or bar staff.
