Tony and Lisa met online in the summer of 2015. Although Lisa was also pursuing other matches, Tony declared after their first date that Lisa was his girlfriend. Period. The first five weeks of dating was absolute bliss. Lisa would commute to Tony's Siesta Key "shack" and Tony would commute to Lisa's Ybor apartment embarking on adventures of cook-offs in their kitchens, baseball games, theme parks, walks on the beach, and outings with friends. Everything came to a crashing halt when Tony was in a near-deadly motorcycle accident. Lisa came to support Tony every Wednesday after school and every weekend while he recovered in the ICU for thirty-one days. Through a long road of recovery and surgeries, the experience brought them closer and made their love for each other even stronger. After two years of commuting, Lisa found a teaching job in Sarasota and moved into Tony's shack on Siesta Key. A year later, they bought a beautiful condo right off of Siesta Key and have enjoyed traveling around the world and making memories with friends and family. They make it a point to have "date night" every Friday after a five o clock quick drink with their elderly neighbors in the driveway. After seven "patient" years, Tony proposed on December 12th of 2020. They are more than eager to celebrate their love and commitment surrounded by those who have supported them the most in the best and worst of times.

While Tony was in the area of Lisa's Ybor apartment, he thought it would be smooth to surprise her by leaving roses on her bed and some tea titled "smooth move." Lisa enjoyed the sweet surprise and loved the tea, but after drinking it before bed several times, she began to have stomach aches. After some thought, Lisa noticed the tea was titled "smooth move" for a reason! It was a laxative tea! This memory is forever a funny favorite to share to this day in the early years of dating.

On their first date, Tony wasted no time explaining how successful he was with his career in sales and how much he would spoil Lisa. The following date, he invited her to his house by the beach on Siesta Key. With preconceived notions from Tony's humble accreditations, Lisa drove onto the beautiful Siesta Key passing glorious mansions and stunning condos. When her GPS said she had arrived, she was in front of one of the many beautiful condos, but was confused with how to get past the gate. After calling Tony asking him where she should park, Tony responded confused. He said to just park in the driveway. After creeping her car a bit down the road, Tony opens the door of a beat-up yellow shack with a frying pan of fish yelling at her "Come on in!!!"

After reaching a safe destination after learning the potential threats of Hurricane Ian, Lisa explained how she packed the things she could not replace such as photo albums of their early years from dating and travel. When Tony was asked what he packed he replied "My guns."
