Our Love Story Some stories begin with a plan. Ours began with purpose. In 2024, Kofi and Blessing found themselves in the same place—serving God at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, House of Grace—without knowing that their paths had already crossed before. Kofi first noticed Blessing when she came to volunteer to sing during a young adult choir day, invited by a friend. She stood out, but at the time, it was simply a moment—one that could have easily passed. But God was already writing something more. About a month later, they met again at a Christian young adult event. Kofi had come with his sister, unaware that she had already formed a friendship with Blessing and had invited her as well. This time, Blessing approached him with a sense of familiarity. He recognized her too—she looked familiar, though he couldn’t quite place it at first. Then it clicked—they had met before. As they talked, they realized their story went back even further. Their paths had crossed during campus ministry long before either of them realized. What seemed like coincidence began to feel like divine orchestration. Their conversations quickly became deeper—centered on faith, purpose, and where they each were in life. There was a sincerity that neither of them wanted to rush, but both felt led to honor. So they prayed. With intention and faith, they chose to begin their relationship not casually, but purposefully—committing to seek God together and pursue a path of courtship. From there, something beautiful unfolded. Serving side by side in church, Kofi as a choir director and keyboardist, and Blessing as a praise and worship leader, Sunday school teacher, and dance ministry leader, their bond deepened—not only in love, but in their walk with God. What they found in each other was steady, peaceful, and genuine. In God’s perfect timing, Kofi proposed—marking the beginning of forever. Their story is not one they could have planned, but one they are grateful to walk in—rooted in faith, guided by purpose, and sustained by love. “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.” — Psalm 118:23
