This is the farmer's market I have been participating in for the past 5 years. I will not be there but check it out if you are downtown! Yummy food and lots of artisan goods! There is also the Boise Farmer's Market, Eagle, and Merdian market.
The Boise River Greenbelt follows its namesake river among towering trees, connecting downtown Boise with neighborhoods and the business district. Leading out of the city both north-west and south-east, the trail connects suburbs with parks and the Lucky Peak State Recreation Area. It is great for walking, jogging, or easy biking.
The Village at Meridian features upscale apparel and specialty retail, fine restaurants and cafes, Village Cinemas, and luxury office space. It is a large outdoor mall area. I would recommend it as a shopping experience versus the Boise Town Square Mall.
Looking to do a hike in town? Table Rock is a mountain pillar in the western United States, located just south-east of downtown Boise, Idaho, in the foothills of the Boise Range of the Rocky Mountains. Its summit elevation of 3,650 feet above sea level is 900 feet above the city center.
Boise is known for having numerous bike and hike trails close by. We are not avid hike/bikers but do some Googling for more specific details. The website include is one resource.
Ketchum, or more popularly known for the resort, Sun Valley, is another nearby resort town that is a 2.5-hour drive. Another wonderful place for recreation and a cute town to explore. This will be the most likely place in Idaho to spot a celebrity. Again if you are looking to stay, be sure to book accommodations ASAP.
If you have the time, it is breathtaking! Not many places to stay here as far as hotels or AirBnb's, mostly camping and even that can fill quickly! Plan ahead if you go to Stanley. The nights in the summer can get into the 30's so come October it can be pretty chilly. Again, if you go, plan and bring warm clothing. It is a 2.75-3 hour drive.
