We met through a couple of our mutual friends in February of 2013. A few texts and some hangouts later, we knew our identical humor and sassy attitudes were something special. A few months later, while attending Opening Day for the Brewers, on April 2nd, 2013, we had officially become a couple. We've been through everything imaginable and share the intense love for our children, Asher and Kynslee. We're so excited to continue our lives together as the GERSONDE'S!
We had taken the kids on their very first, out-of-state, beach vacation during spring break. A few days after we had gotten there, we were celebrating our 5 year anniversary with a dolphin cruise and lunch in the marina. Little did I know, Justin had a big surprise. And little did he know, I would unintentionally do my best to try and ruin it. What was meant to be a romantic beach proposal turned into an even better moonlight, balcony proposal. We had a small argument over...get this... whether or not a big bright orange blob in the sky was the moon or a parachute... I felt Justin's heart racing and wasn't sure if it was because he was irritated with me or nervous. Come to find out, it was because he was nervous. After ugly-crying for a good fifteen minutes, I finally mumbled "yes" and got to take a peek at my gorgeous ring. We enjoyed the rest of our vacation with the kids as an engaged couple excited to start planning a wedding! We're so excited to celebrate with our closest family and friends as we become Kelly and Justin Gersonde!
