With a simple swipe of the finger, we met in the most millennial way...through a dating app! Our first date was at Café Hollander in Madison on Halloween in 2016. The conversation was easy and there was a natural connection between us that neither could deny. Kevin always had the best dates planned and we enjoyed everything we did together. The rest is history! Whether it's sharing a love for Wisconsin sports, breweries, the newest spot in Madison, or playing with our Golden Retriever puppy, Millie, we love being adventurous and creating memories in whatever we do.

On June 27th, 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, Kevin wanted to go to Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison. If you know Karen, you know that it's hard to get anything past her. We've been hunkered down all throughout quarantine, so the fact that Kevin suggested we go somewhere raised suspicions, but Karen had no idea what Kevin had in store.... Kevin arranged for Olbrich Gardens to open up an hour early for just us two where he proposed on the most beautiful bridge overlooking the gardens! He also had a photographer capturing the special moments. Afterward, Kevin rented kayaks on Lake Monona, packed a picnic lunch with champagne for us to enjoy and celebrate. After kayaking, the surprises kept coming when Kevin had Karen's parents, sister, and brother-in-law meet us at a park to celebrate. He also arranged for his family to celebrate with us that weekend as well! It was a magical weekend that we will never forget. We cannot wait to make it official in July!
