So the story begins where Dan fell head over heels… at the Koebel house in 2009 where he got a concussion. Jacqui’s name and face would never be forgotten though. Dan was one of her biggest fans in high school, quite literally going bananas for her (in his banana costume) in the stands. The story really heated up at a wedding in 2018, when Dan would make his case to become Jacqui’s undisputed #1 fan when he mustered up some courage to ask Jacqui to dance at a wedding (shoutout Jenna and Jon). A text was sent the day after the wedding (yea he already had those digits from the past) in which she received it and thought it was someone else… lucky for Jac it was actually Dan! Six years after that first dance there have been many an ice cream dates, adventures, experiencing firsts together, moving in together and adopting a puppy. Oh and lucky for Dan, Jacqui said yes the first time he asked her to marry him, unlike the first time he asked her to be his girlfriend! Moral of the story there, always go after what you want!
