Acclimating to high elevation should be taken seriously. Several days before you arrive and during your entire stay increase your water intake to several quarts a day. Yet the body needs more than water. Too much water by itself can throw your body off-balance. You need salt and electrolytes to keep your system operating healthily. Some low- or no-sugar sports drinks have the proper amount of salt and electrolytes to help you maintain or regain that balance. Also, staying at a lower elevation at the beginning of your trip will help you acclimatize. We recommend exploring Denver when you arrive, then make your way up to the mountains. Symptoms of Altitude Sickness: headache, feeling and being sick, dizziness, tiredness, loss of appetite, shortness of breath. Please take it slow and listen to your body!
Due to Estes Park's noise ordinance, the reception will end promptly at 10pm. We ask that you please respect the ordinance and say your goodbyes quietly.
There are no ride shares (Uber/Lyft) available in Estes Park. We ask that you organize your own transportation to and from the ceremony and reception prior to our wedding.
July is Estes Park's busiest season, therefore hotels do not give the opportunity for room blocks. We advise you to book your accommodations as soon as possible! Visit our travel page for more information on accommodations. Reservations for the YMCA open January 3rd, 2024!
