We're Getting Married!

Ultimately we have Mark Zuckerberg to thank for bringing us together. We met on Facebook through its suggestion that we should be friends. We can't remember who actually took the leap of faith and finally said yes to Facebook's suggestion. While on a girls trip to Florida with my friends Gina and Karen things would change for Steve and I. Gina, Karen, and I had just made it back from a night out and were having a mini dance party in Karen's minivan. Yes, yes, we are that cool! I asked if anyone knew this Steve guy on my Facebook but they had no clue so I went ahead and messaged him. Steve and I kept chatting for a few weeks and he finally asked me out! We went to a movie on 7/1/17. Steve even shared a sour straw with me, clearly I was hooked! As we got to know each other and go on more dates we realized that we had oddly crossed paths a few times in the past and just didn't known it. I used to work for Men's Wearhouse and had measured Steve for his friends wedding tuxedo. Two months before we went on our first date we were both at the same wedding but sitting on opposite sides of the room. Steve's dad serviced the HVAC at mom's uncles restaurant for years and I had been a waitress there in my teens. In the end, timing is truly everything and we wouldn't have it any other way! Steve proposed on June 3rd, 2018 at Lincoln Park Zoo outside of the penguin exhibit. He had asked my friend Melissa to invite me to the zoo and make it seem as if it was all her idea. Clearly I was excited to go see the penguins and had no idea anything was up. I even ended up inviting my friends Angelica, Mario, Mike, and Brittany. We had a great day and went behind the scenes with the penguins. As we were about to leave Steve started to tell me how when a penguin finds their mate for life they search for the perfect pebble to give them. He pulled out a heart shaped pebble and handed it to me and on it was Marry Me Kodilo? Of course I said yes and that brings us to where we are today!
