Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Texas fall weather can either be warm or cool, we recommend you bring a light jacket just to be prepared.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both will take place indoors but there is a lovely patio for guests that would like to get some fresh air and enjoy the beautiful view of Downtown Dallas.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the cocktail space where we will be serving finger foods and beverages.

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

As of right now, there are no further wedding events scheduled, but we will update this page if that changes.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

You can get to Hickory Street Annex via State Highway I-30. Please use the address listed below and your GPS for more detailed directions. You can also contact the venue directly if you are having issues locating the venue. Their number is also listed below. What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive 30-45 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the wedding started as scheduled!

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Parking at the venue is free but limited. We ask that guests from the Dallas area use a car service or carpool. We would like to ensure that our older and out of town guests have available parking.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are only permitting our out of town guests to bring children to the wedding. Due to COVID-19 we do ask that children who come stay close to their caregivers. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Party crashes will be escorted out by security.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We do not have a hotel block, however, if you visit the Travel section of our website, we have listed several hotel options for your consideration.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

The deadline to RSVP is September 10, 2020. We accept RSVP both online and in mail. Please do not text your RSVP to the bride or groom.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes.

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

We are proud to say that our caterer was able to accommodate those with food allergies as well as vegans all while serving a delicious menu. Drinks will also be made avalible. We have an open bar and the venue also has a BYOB policy. As long as you give your alcohol to the bartender, you are free to bring your own booze!

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

No.

May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Answer

Yes.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #MKSayIDo2020 so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Answer

If you have any questions, we ask that you please make sure you check the website first. If the answer to your question cannot be found here on our wedding website, please contact the Maid of Honor, Kaylyn (214) 909-0757. Please avoid contacting the bride and groom during this time as we would like them to remain stress free!

Can I propose to my significant other at your wedding?

Answer

This is our day. We have dreamed, planned, budgeted, and worked hard to make it what we want. Please Do Not do anything to make our day about you.
