In Fall 2016, we both started college at Angelo State. After the first day of classes, there was a meeting in the Honors Lounge for all of the first-year students in the program. We were in the same group (and Ethan complemented Kodi on her Twenty One Pilots shirt). The next day, we were in the same honors class section and sat next to each other for the comfort of an at least kind of familiar face. Over the next few months, we became really good friends, meeting each other's parents as such. After spending mid-day at street affair in Robert Lee, Ethan took Kodi to dinner at Peasant Village and the walking along the Concho River. We started off through the sunken public gardens, walking past the place we went stargazing with friends freshman year, and up to the visitors center. Ethan stopped and turned to face Kodi (and she started crying) and read a poem he had written for her that he had titled, “The Question.” As he finished reading the poem, he got down on one knee and pulled a ring box from his pocket. Ugly crying at this point, Kodi said yes and now you’re here! On our wedding website! Crazy!!
