Kodiak and Kayla originally met online and started talking to each other. Then, one day Kayla went to a greenhouse to get some plants for her apartment and saw a cute guy working there. He asked if she needed any help and said she was okay. Two hours later, she left the greenhouse with a ton of plants and blushing all the way home. Later, she went on the app and received a message from Kodiak about how he saw her at the greenhouse. She did not recognize him because it was during Covid and they wore masks at the time. They talked for another year and reconnected and started dating in March 2022. The following year the two were engaged in July 2023 and the rest is history! :)
We were going to a local Arts and Crafts Festival to visit Kodiak’s mom’s coffee cart. All morning he was checking the weather because it was going to rain. I had no idea this was the big day. It poured all day and we still went to the festival. He invited his friends and my parents to join us at the festival and I thought that was nice but I still had no idea. After the day went by and it was heavily pouring, we walked my parents to say goodbye to his mom. Then, he said he wanted a picture in front of my favorite spot there in front of the waterfalls and locks on a fence. It was still pouring and I said okay and he asked to take the umbrella from me and I looked over and he was down on one knee. I started to shake and cry as I was so happy and surprised at the same time! He said some beautiful words to me and I said, “YES," and we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
