We're so excited to celebrate with you!

We met going to our friends wedding. We were both part of the wedding and my friend, the bride, had been talking him up to me and by the time I actually met him, I was already over him. Throughout the wedding preparation we got to spend time together and get to know each other. It wasn't until the day of the wedding that we felt sparks. We still give Alicia and Ricky credit for giving us the opportunity to meet.

Blake and I had planned to go on a walk at the Sarah P. Duke Gardens, one of my favorite gardens to visit. When we got there I was entranced with the vegetables and herbs growing. I was especially excited about the purple kale. When we got to the location of the proposal, in front of a beautiful pink blooming tree, I noticed there was a photographer and I pulled Blake out of the way so she could get a good shot. At that point Blake took a step and got on one knee to ask me to be his wife. That wasn't the only surprise though because a few moments later my best friends and my sister jumped out from the bushes to surprise accompany us on such a beautiful moment. It was absolutely perfect.
