When and where is the wedding?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place on Friday, October 2nd, 2026 at The Madison Barn in Cottage Grove, MN. The ceremony will start at 5pm, with cocktails, dinner, and dancing to follow.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to wear formal attire to help make the day feel extra special! Think suits, ties, cocktail or floor-length dresses, or other elevated evening looks. Since our celebration is in the fall, we’d love if you embraced the season with rich autumn colors like deep reds, earthy greens, navy blues, or warm neutrals. We kindly ask guests to try to avoid wearing black if possible, but we completely understand if that’s the best option for you. Please do not wear white or cream.

What time should guests arrive?

Please arrive by 4:30pm to get seated before the ceremony begins.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Our venue offers 167 parking spots, but to make sure there’s plenty of space for everyone, we encourage guests to carpool when possible. This will help keep parking stress-free and ensure everyone arrives on time to celebrate!

Is the ceremony inside or outside?

Answer

Our ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting, so we recommend bringing a light layer in case it’s chilly. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move the ceremony indoors so everyone stays comfortable!

Where is your wedding registry?

Answer

Your love and presence mean the world to us, and we truly don’t expect gifts! But if you’d like to celebrate with a little something, we’ve put together a Registry page on our website with a few ideas. You’ll also find an option to contribute to our honeymoon fund and future home savings if you’d like to help us start our next adventure!

What is the menu and will there be a vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free option?

Answer

We’re having a taco bar for dinner! It will include beef and chicken, plus plenty of toppings, along with rice and beans. While we don’t have a fully separate vegan or gluten-free menu, there will be plenty of ways to build a plate that works for your preferences!

Will alcohol be served?

Answer

Yes! We are providing a 3-hour open bar featuring a variety of beer and wine to kick off the celebration. During the open bar, cocktails will also be available for purchase. After that, the bar will switch to cash-bar service, offering beer, wine, cocktails, and seltzers for the rest of the evening.

Can I bring a plus one or my kids?

Answer

We kindly ask that you only bring the guests listed on your invitation. We love your little ones (and your friends!), but we’re keeping our guest list intimate so we can celebrate with those closest to us. Thank you so much for understanding!

When do RSVPs need to be submitted?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 1st so we can finalize all the details and make sure there’s a seat (and taco!) reserved just for you.

Can I leave my car overnight?

Answer

Absolutely! You’re welcome to leave your car overnight if needed, but please plan to pick it up by 9:00 AM the next morning. If you’ll be drinking, we highly recommend using Uber, Lyft, or carpooling to make the night easier and safer.
