Located just west of Fort Collins, there are several great trailheads there - Horsetooth Rock Trailhead, Blue Sky Trailhead, and Soderberg Trailhead, and Maxwell Natural Area have some excellent easily-accessible trails. The address will take you to the Visitor's Center, which offers beautiful views and access to walk around the campgrounds if you're less interested in hiking. We used to live here! If you drive to the visitor's center, you'll pass Harrison Drive on the south end of the reservoir where we lived for the past 3 years!
Old Town is the heart of Fort Collins, full of incredible restaurants, bars, and unique family-owned shopping spots. Below are some of our favorite places to visit: Blue Agave Grill - Upscale Mexican/American fusion restaurant with a huge variety of margaritas. Some of our favorite dishes are the Top Shelf Enchiladas, Tunarita, and Black and White Nachos. Rio Grande - Mexican restaurant that is FAMOUS for their incredible house margarita. Walrus Ice Cream - The best ice cream place in town- ask to try their "Joke Flavor" if you're feeling adventurous. Social - Underground speakeasy style cocktail bar- one of our favorite date night spots! Sugar Salt Sand - Unique tiki-style bar and restaurant with a rooftop. High Point Bar - One of our favorite places to play darts in town. The Cupboard - The cutest shop in Old Town. Family owned, and full of charming kitchenware, decorations, and handmade trinkets. Be sure to stop by the sweets counter for their homemade fudge and candies.
The headquarters of the world-famous New Belgium Brewing. Super fun place to check out that has live music most Fridays, a fleet of food trucks, and excellent beer. If you have time, we would recommend doing a 90 minute guided tour to see the brewery behind the scenes!
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Fort Collins! They're menu has all kinds of different slider-sized sandwiches, amazing fries and other sides, and by far the best Bloody Mary we've ever had (especially if you ask for their homemade pickle vodka!)
This is a family owned, independent dairy just north of Fort Collins in Bellvue. They do regular tours of their facility, and they have a great coffee shop and creamery on the property. The view of the foothills outside makes it a great place to sip a coffee or eat some ice cream.
Flat out the best winery in Colorado (even Mike enjoys this spot). Nestled into the foothills just north of Fort Collins, it's another place we loved to hang out and enjoy the stellar view. The owner/winemaker, Bill, gave Caitlin the recipe for a fantastic mulled wine she makes every Christmas.
This is another one of our favorite breweries in town, especially on Sundays with their outdoor live music! They have a rotation of excellent local bands and singers every week, if you're not heading out early on Sunday after the wedding we would absolutely recommend checking them out.
