We will have an open bar until we hit our tab maximum. Please be prepared for a cash bar should that tab run out!
We will be offering guests the choice of Magoo's Pizza (Woodfired pizza and salad) or Adobo's Mexican Grill (Mexican - Build your own), both based out of Dubuque, IA. There will be approximately 5 different types of woodfired pizzas for you to choose from, including a vegetarian option (or two) with Caeser salad on the side! The build-your-own Mexican meal will have 4 options: burrito, burrito bowl, taco salad, or nachos. It includes one meat (chicken, steak or ground beef), toppings (spanish rice, pinto or black beans, lettuce, shredded cheese, pico de gallo, corn, sour cream, jalapenos), salsas (mild, spicy, el diablo, queso, guacamole) You're required to fill out your meal choice in your RSVP, but don't fret - you really can't go wrong. Both places are SO, so good.
We're calling it semi-formal/ formalwear welcome. Feel free to wear dresses (mini, midi, or maxi!), skirts, blouses, slacks, jackets, ties, khakis. We'd just recommend not wearing jeans and a t-shirt.
Blocks of rooms have filled up quickly. Check first at the locations we recommend, listed on our "Where to Stay" page. As of 9/12, the Grant Hills Motel (closest to venue) and Ramada by Wyndham (10 min from venue) both have availability. These must be booked 30 days before the wedding (9/22!!) before they are released to the general public and rooms will be first come, first serve. If all hotels listed on our site are booked, there are plenty of other accommodations available in the area - just be sure to book soon!
The shuttle is only traveling to and from the Grand Harbor Resort in Dubuque, the Country Inn & Suites in Galena, and the Grant Hills Motel in Galena. It will pick up from your hotel on a schedule (which we'll post on the website when it becomes available) to bring you to the venue in time for the ceremony at 3:30 pm. At the end of the night, the shuttle will take you back to your hotel on a schedule that will be posted. The shuttle will only travel to and from the Grand Harbor once at the start of the day for the ceremony, and once at the end of the night after the reception has ended. Travel to and from the other two locations may be more frequent throughout the night since they are closer to the venue.
When you go to RSVP, type in your name and hit "continue." On the next page, if you have a plus one, you will see your name along with your guest's name (or a place to fill their name in).
We love kids and if you have 'em, we love 'em. They are invited to join our special day, we just ask that you prepare for any potential meltdowns or mishaps as best you can to avoid unwanted interruptions. We also invite you to go kid-free if you need a night off! We want our guests to be comfortable by doing whatever is best for them.
