FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire, black tie optional. Cocktail attire is semi-formal dress, and black tie optional means you can dress more formally if you prefer, but cocktail attire is perfectly appropriate. For Women: Cocktail dresses (knee-length to midi), dressy separates, or dress pants with a nice blouse. For black tie optional, you can wear floor-length gowns or elegant cocktail dresses. Choose wedges, block heels, or dressy flats for the outdoor ceremony (stilettos sink into grass). For Men: Dress shirt with tie, dress pants, blazer or suit jacket, and closed-toe dress shoes. For black tie optional, you can wear a tuxedo or dark formal suit. Since our ceremony is outdoors (subject to weather conditions) and reception is indoors: Choose breathable fabrics and bring layers for changing temperatures. Avoid stiletto heels for the grass ceremony, but regular heels work fine for the indoor reception. Consider the season when selecting colors and fabrics. Please avoid: All white, ivory, or cream colors (reserved for the bride), overly casual items, and anything too revealing or flashy. Safe choices: Navy or jewel-toned dresses for women; navy or charcoal suits for men. When in doubt, it's better to be slightly overdressed than underdressed!
