How did you meet?

Two weeks after moving to Minnesota from Indiana, Ross was invited to Anna’s home through church friends and roommates. Ross noted her stylish green work overalls. Anna admired his genuineness. We connected further at group outings like ice skating, a kite festival, a folk music jam sesh, and a volunteer food packing event.

What was your first date?

Answer

Officially: an afternoon hike at Taylor Falls involving dark chocolate and clementines. Unofficially: a week earlier, Anna agreed to go with Ross to get his banjo repaired, grab coffee and go for a walk.

How did you get engaged?

Answer

In an attempt to surprise Anna, Ross brought the engagement ring on a trip to Tijuana where they were joining in a house build. Finding no ideal moments to propose in Mexico, Ross settled for Sunset Cliffs in San Diego an hour before their departing flight. It was a success.
