First off, we met over fried chicken so you know that’s a great start to the relationship. We were set up by one of my childhood friends, Jack (Zach’s fraternity brother at Purdue). I knew it was happening but Zach *claims* he didn’t know what was going on. Shout out to Bet - because we all know the real reason Zach was there was for the fried chicken & brown sugar pie. Zach is goofy, smart and is willing to call me out from time to time (because someone has to - am I right?). He makes me laugh more than anyone and has the sweetest, most genuine personality. He also has mad karaoke skills (insert Notorious BIG) and gosh dang it I just love him. He’s kind of a grammar snob. No really, I had to have my friend proofread my text to him saying that I’d go on our first date. This is Zach tagging in here for a sec. Caroline is genuinely the most caring person I’ve ever met. I’ve never met someone who's so willing to give up everything for other people. Her time, her devotion and even her money (she's an AMAZING gift giver). I mean who else gives their fiance an Opening Day gift every year, even though she cannot stand watching baseball on T.V. Last season it was a 12 pack of Old Style and Mr. Cub T-Shirt. There are so many amazing things I have to say about her and not enough space for this story. It only took Zach four years to decide that it was about dang time for him to seal the deal. And on the 21st night of September....just kidding it was actually September 6th but how much cooler of a story would it have been if it started that way? Anyways, Zach got down on one knee, just the two of us, and what seemed like every bouquet of flowers in Indianapolis situated in the backyard, & popped the question. Of course I said "DUH!' We've been poppin' bottles ever since and are excited for what's to come. We cannot wait to celebrate the start of our lives together with all of our favorite people who we love dearly in one place! Let's get this party started!
