Meredith and Amanda met through their high school boyfriends sophomore year of high school. Amanda and Meredith quickly became best friends and have been close for the past fifteen years. Meredith is a strong advocate for her friends, and remains like a sister to Amanda. Amanda was Meredith's Maid of Honor for her 2018 wedding to her husband Matthew.

Ryan is one of Bobby's oldest friends and will be his Best Man in the wedding! From Amanda's perspective, Ryan is one of the only people that makes Bobby laugh constantly.
Whitley White

Whitley and Amanda became close in high school, and somehow got closer during college when Amanda attended Texas A&M and Whitley attended Ole Miss. Whitley is Amanda's favorite travel buddy, having traveled together to Mexico, St. Maarten, Ireland, Scotland, England, and France together. Hopefully they'll always explore together!

Marshall and Bobby met on a mission trip to Greece during college. Despite attending rival schools, Bobby and Marshall became good friends and are now sort of brothers-in-law! Bobby's sister is married to Marshall's brother.

Like Meredith and Whitley, Lauryn and Amanda met in high school and became close quickly. Lauryn went to Texas A&M with Amanda and has been with Amanda through many of life's ups and downs. Although Lauryn rarely lives in the same place twice thanks to her medical school adventures, Lauryn continues to be a rock for Amanda!

Gentry and Bobby met in college through Gentry's older brother Marshall. Gentry introduced himself to his now wife, Margaret, in college because he knew her as Bobby's younger sister. Now Gentry is both Bobby's brother in law and close friend.

Amanda is lucky to call Whitney her sister-in-law after Whitney married Amanda's older brother, Christopher, in 2014. Not only is Whitney a joyful, kind-hearted addition to the Knode family, but she also gave birth to Amanda's near-favorite human, her nephew Easton.

Alyssa and Amanda met through their church, Life in Deep Ellum, a few years ago and have been friends ever since! Amanda and Alyssa both sing on the Life in Deep Ellum worship team and love investing in their church. Alyssa is an insanely talented photographer and starter her own studio in 2019 called Alyssa Cates Studio. She's the woman behind the lens of our engagement photos!
