On April 10, 2020, during the Covid Pandemic (and when dating apps were one of the main forms of socialization), Ryan and I matched on Hinge. He said when he saw me faceplant on a Bird Scooter and post it on a dating app, he knew I was the one (if you know, you know). Ryan MIGHT'VE had a little crush on me for a while before from seeing me on social media (or so he says), and was "waiting to shoot his shot" on the app. Meanwhile, to me, Ryan was a complete stranger and I only knew he wasn't a serial killer because he had mutual friends in his Hinge profile photos. Once we swapped phone numbers, Ryan immediately tried facetiming me to break the ice (sounds creepy but it works, 10/10 recommend). We quickly realized how much we had in common and how easy it was to keep the conversations flowing. From the day we started talking, we never stopped. For me, that was a big deal and I knew I was in trouble! Once we had our first date, it felt SO natural and effortless, like we've been friends for years. We facetimed anyone that would answer that day, to show each other off, and like to think that even then, we knew what we had was special! We've been havin' a blast ever since!!
