Question
When should we arrive at port to get onto the boat?
Answer
While we do not yet have our official boarding time, the ship is currently scheduled to depart at 3:30 PM. Cruise lines typically assign guests an arrival and check-in window before sailing, and we recommend arriving at the port during your designated time once that information becomes available. In general, most guests begin boarding several hours before departure, and all passengers must be checked in well before the ship leaves port. It is recommended that you get to Florida with As we get closer to our sailing date and receive more details from Carnival, we will share embarkation instructions and recommended arrival times with everyone. If you are traveling from out of town, we strongly encourage arriving in the departure city the day before the cruise. Flight delays, traffic, weather, and other unexpected travel issues can happen, and arriving the night before helps ensure a stress-free start to the trip and allows you plenty of time to get to the port on embarkation day. How do we book a room?
Answer
We have arranged a group booking through Carnival Cruise Line. Our wedding cruise will take place aboard the ship Carnival Sunrise and guests may book as part of our wedding group or independently through the Carnival website. To be included in the wedding group booking, guests must call Carnival’s Groups Department directly at 1-866-721-3225 and reference the Knight-Gastaldi Wedding when booking. Guests will have the option to choose from Interior, Ocean View, or Balcony staterooms based on availability and preference. For guests interested in additional room upgrades, including suites or other upgraded accommodations, those options can also be discussed directly with Carnival at the time of booking. Guests traveling with children or needing rooms for 3 or more guests are strongly encouraged to book early, as those room types tend to sell out more quickly. To be included as part of the wedding group booking, reservations must be made no later than July 20th, 2026 by calling the number above and placing a deposit. Full payment of the room will be due NO LATER than January 4th, 2027. Carnival’s Groups Department operates during standard business hours in the Eastern Time Zone (EST), approximately 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM EST. We recommend calling earlier rather than later, especially for guests needing larger rooms, connecting rooms, or upgraded accommodations, as availability may become limited closer to the booking deadline. Additional travel details, booking reminders, excursion ideas, and onboard activity recommendations will continue to be added as we get closer to the wedding date.

When should we book the cruise?
Answer
It is recommended to book the cruise sooner rather than later as it is likely to sell out since we are traveling during peak season for them. If you would like to book the cruise you can do so by either booking directly on their website. The ship is Carnival Sunrise and the dates of the cruise are March 20th, 2027 to March 25th, 2027. You can also call Carnival's Group's Department to be part of our Wedding group booking at 1-866-721-3225 and reference the Knight-Gastaldi Wedding when booking. If you want to be part of the group booking than you must book by July 20th, 2026. Carnival's Group Department business hours is 9am-5:30pm EST.

Can non-cruise guests attend the wedding?

Unfortunately, since our wedding is occurring on an At Sea Day, non-cruise guests will be unable to attend the wedding!

The cruise ends on March 25th. You should be able to arrange with Carnival Cruise line directly for transportation to the airport.
