we're getting married!

We met the modern way: by swiping right on the dating app Hinge in 2018. Our first few dates, while sprinkled with a little bit of charming awkwardness, is where we bonded over our shared love of the outdoors, dogs, sports, The Office, and Dr. Pepper (which was the t-shirt Danny wore to lunch on our first date). We remember our first few dates being so comfortable and fun, and even included a magical evening on July 4th watching the fireworks from the San Jose foothills. Some of our favorite memories together include cooking at home, rescuing our dog Rooney, golfing and spending time with our families. We have been so fortunate to go on some amazing adventures together, including a week in Hawaii, a long weekend in Napa, and an epic trip to the Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore in 2019/2020 over New Year's. But some of our absolute favorite summer and winter trips have been to beautiful Lake Tahoe (including the first one we took together as a couple!). It only made sense to choose the Tahoe mountains as the place for us to take our next step in becoming Husband and Wife. Danny proposed to Liz on the beach in Carmel, CA. After a fun day of wine tasting, we made our way down to the beach as sunset approached where a photographer was waiting to capture our special moment. Danny then walked Liz down to the water, got down on one knee, and may or may not have cried a little as he popped the question...and the celebration was on! Our years together have been our version of a perfect love story, and all of our friends and family have played a huge part in that story. We cannot wait to celebrate with all of you as we say "I do" at in Lake Tahoe in August 2022.
