How We Met

We Found Love In A Bar

Courtney was in Lancaster City celebrating a friend's 21st birthday. They had a fun checklist for the night, and one item was "get random people to sing happy birthday to you." Courtney and her friends walked into the bar and were standing by the elevator. Justin and his friends were standing there as well. Courtney asked them to sing happy birthday to her friend, Taylor! They didn't even hesitate, as we rode up in the elevator. Justin started to talk to Courtney, and made sure that he got her number before the end of the night. He may have double checked 3 times that she, in fact, gave him her legit number before he left with his friends lol. Courtney went home just thinking it was "just a guy from a bar" and it was fun to talk to him, and that nothing would really come from it. However, Justin reached out shortly after asking to go on a first real date. He was kind, thoughtful, funny, and a genuinely good guy. We both were excited to go on another date, and the rest is history!

Proposal Story

Cruisin' to a Proposal

We were down in OCNJ with Courtney's family for the week. On the first day there, we went to the beach to enjoy the day. That evening, Justin wanted to go to dinner, since it was our 5 year anniversary. We were getting ready, and it started to storm. Justin was sweating to say the least lol. Thankfully, the storms passed, and we were able to go to dinner at the Chatterbox and eat outside. After dinner, Justin said he had a surprise planned. We showed up at this boating place, which advertised parasailing, tubing, and a pirate ship. When we walked in, they said they would be right out with life vests. Keep in mind, Courtney was told to curl her hair and Justin picked out a dress and heels for her to wear...needless to say, Courtney started to freak out when she saw tubers get off the boat we were going on, soaking wet in their bathing suits, and she was in a dress and heels lol! They dried off the boat, and we did not have to put life vests on. When we approached the private boat, there were rose petals all over. The captain said, "Welcome aboard." Justin responded "yupp welcome aboard," and that's when Courtney knew for sure what was going to happen lol. Poor Justin was so nervous, but in such a sweet way! As we cruised around the bay side, the boat stopped at sunset, and Justin poured his heart out on one knee. Courtney said "Yes!" and Justin quickly put the ring on her finger, as we were worried it would go overboard lol! We enjoyed a nice sunset cruise around the bay. Justin had some of Courtney's friends and family back at the beach house when we got back to celebrate our engagement!
