The Wedding of

Chris and Emily met at the most prestigious and sought after university, Penn State! where they were both studying to be Electrical Engineers. As some may assume, women in Electrical Engineering courses are far and few between. In the Fall of 2018, Chris and Emily found themselves both enrolled in the course “EE340- Intro to Nanoelectronics”, a course that introduces aspiring engineers to the world of semiconductors. Emily left the first class thinking something she had thought since the beginning of Engineering school “What am I doing here????” Chris left the first class thinking “Who is that Emily girl?!!!” .. After the first week, Chris gained the courage to approach Emily after class. Carefully, he studied which direction she took to walk home and he eventually made made his move, “Do you have any idea what’s going on in that class right now?” he asked. Emily replied “Nope!” They both laughed and the rest was history. From the first date at the notorious ‘The Phyrst’, to ‘Cafe 210’ dates before class for a buffalo chicken wrap, to studying together in the ‘stacks’ of Patee Library trying to be as quiet as possible between laughs, the two were inseparable. Following graduation, Emily began working as an Electrical Engineer at Duquesne Light Company and Chris started his career as a Project Manager at FedEx. In 2023, they moved into a quaint townhome together in West View, PA. Their French Bulldog, Joey (aka jojo aka bleeks), takes up most of their time and they wouldn’t have it any other way! Chris plans to pursue his MBA in the Fall of 2026 and Emily enjoys the vast opportunities she’s been given in the electrical grid industry.
