Our wedding is festive cocktail attire. For women: cocktail dresses (knee-length, midi, or full-length) or jumpsuits. Women are encouraged to wear cocktail party attire that features bolder colors, playful accessories, and unique silhouettes. For men: suits, sports coats, or a dress shirt with trousers. Ties are optional. Men are encouraged to sport a patterned or textured suit, jazzed up with a bright tie or creative pocket square. The wedding is outside, and Guadalajara can get chilly at night (the average temperature in November is highs around 78° F and lows around 54° F) so we recommend bringing a jacket or warm layer.
We will provide transportation to the venue from the hotels with room blocks (Hilton and JW Marriott, listed under TRAVEL). Uber is also available. The drive is about 30-40 minutes. Shuttles will leave from the hotels at 4:30pm.
Yes, there is parking available for guests that want to drive to the ceremony.
Please do not forget to renew your passport. You will need to renew your passport if it’s expiring within 6 months of your entry into Mexico (even if it’s not expired yet)! Average processing time for US passport renewal is 4-6 weeks. At the time of writing, US and Trini citizens do not need visas to enter Mexico unless you are crossing by land or plan to stay more than 180 days.
NO. We have stayed at a couple different Airbnbs in Guadalajara. The city has a surprising amount of realllllly nice rental properties that are very cheap (relatively). Get them before this city blows up! Santa Teresita neighborhood especially has many. It is also very close to the shuttle pickup/recommended hotels.
We wouldn’t recommend it. You don’t need one unless you plan on doing some deepcuts exploration. Ubers are cheap here and plentiful and safe. It is very walkable in the core of town as well.
We are flying in Wednesday Oct 29th landing in Guadalajara at 6:45 pm. We are taking a Volaris flight, which flies nonstop from Oakland to Guadalajara if any Bay Area guests want to tag on. Join us then if you want!
We don’t have any wedding events planned for Sunday, but it is Day of the Dead so there will be a lot of events around Guadalajara if you want to stay and explore with us.
