Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, dress code is cocktail/semi-formal attire. Think polished and a little fancy - this is your moment! For women, midi to floor-length dresses in elevated fabrics. Shorter dresses are welcome if they bring the drama with structure or embellishments. For men, dress pants and a dress shirt are the move; a tie or jacket is optional but will definitely earn you bonus points. Please no jeans, t-shirts, or shorts - we promise it’s worth dressing up for. Our bridal party will be in blues, but no need to avoid that color! The entire event is outdoors and lakefront with some unpaved areas, so we recommend block heels, wedges, or flats (your future self will thank you). Parking is very close, so feel free to bring a shoe change or jacket for when it cools down at night! And once you hit the dance floor, shoes are highly encouraged to come off 🕺

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation includes a “plus one” or “and guest,” feel free to bring your favorite person. If it doesn’t, we promise it’s not personal - we’re just keeping things a little more intimate.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

With attempting to keep our wedding intimate we have limited the number of children allowed to the wedding to only those listed on the invitation/RSVP. Thank you for your understanding!

What is the venue like?

Answer

Our venue is a lakeside backyard in the fall - aka beautiful, but dress accordingly! Think layers and practical footwear for grass and uneven ground. Parking is available right at the venue, and you’re welcome to leave your car overnight, just be sure to plan ahead with a DD or call an Uber. And while the view is stunning, keep an eye on the water’s edge as the night goes on 😉

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will start promptly at 4 pm. Please arrive 20-30 minutes early to avoid entering in the middle of the bride's entrance. We will make you wait in the lake. Not kidding.

What will I get to eat & drink?

Answer

We’ll have an open bar (of course!) all night, appetizers during cocktail hour, and two food trucks for dinner. Please come hungry - we’re big foodies and want you to enjoy it as much as we do! Each truck offers a variety of options to accommodate dietary restrictions. If you have any specific concerns, feel free to text the Groom at the number listed at the top of this page.

We love that you want to capture our day! Please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We want everyone fully present and enjoying the moment, not on their screens. But please feel free to take photos during cocktail hour and the reception - we can’t wait to see all the memories you capture!
