Things To Do

Beacon is a charming little town in Upstate New York. Restaurants, culture, and art are embedded in this community. Not only does it make a perfect weekend trip up from NYC, but people from all over the Hudson Valley flock here on weekends to peruse the shops, art galleries, and people watch.
Main Street

Main Street

Main Street, Beacon, NY 12508

Main Street in Beacon is perfect for browsing and shopping, especially since there are views of the Hudson River at the beginning of your walk! This downtown area is about a mile long and is known for its art galleries and vintage stores. It’s walkable, and very popular.

Come and grab a drink! Need we say more?

Vintage Shopping

Vintage Shopping

Beacon is full of one-of-a-kind vintage shops, both high end and affordable. Some are packed to the brim with old finds and some are a bit more curated but either way you’re sure to find something!

The Roundhouse

The Roundhouse

2 East Main Street, Beacon, NY 12508

This is the main hotel in the area and not only is it gorgeous, but the outdoor patio restaurant offers some of the best views! The food is also *chef's kiss*.

Beacon Mountain

Any hikers or nature lovers here? Here's your spot! Hiking Mount Beacon is a favorite activity of locals and tourists alike. People come up from NYC, and all over for Hudson Valley’s famous hikes, and Mount Beacon is one of them.

Denning's Point Distillery

Denning's Point Distillery

10 North Chestnut Street, Beacon, NY 12508
, (845) 476-8413

nown as the Best Hudson Valley Distillery for the past few years, this place is definitely a must-see spot in Beacon. I recommend starting out at the tasting room to try a little bit of everything (my favorite is the Maid of the Meadow spirit) and then heading back to the main room to enjoy one of their specialty cocktails. The setting is rustic and casual, so it’s the perfect post-hike stop.

For all the days along the way
