Writing this story couldn’t be written without God’s help. It started when Morgan and I were jokingly suggested a dating site (The Right Stuff) by each of our friends due to our strong right leaning views. At the time of getting on the site, I was looking to find Christ in my life again and knew I needed to find someone who shared that value. In the prompt “this year I want to…”, I simply put “find someone who loves Jesus”. I didn’t know the type of person that would come into my life by that answer but the Lord surely knew. Morgan messaged me first thinking “he is cute and I love Jesus” so let’s give it a shot. It all started with messages back and forth, then the first FaceTime that turned into many late nights talking and then finally a 3 hour drive from Sioux Falls to Lincoln for a Huskers baseball game for date 1. The love continued to grow as the deep conversations and the desire to drive became more frequent. After a year of dating and with some help from Morgan’s old boss, Lindsay, I was able to propose to Morgan at the Devaney Center, the home of Nebraska Volleyball. This time together has been nothing short of amazing as the two of us learn to grow everyday in our love for each other and striving to put God first in our relationship. We can’t wait for you to be a part of our very special day with us!!
