In God's perfect timing, we met each other when we least expected. I was invited to be the guest speaker at a family camp in Indiana and Rachel was one of the campers. After I finished my first speaking session, she walked up to me with her beautiful smile and told me how inspired she was by my message. Little did we know how much of a spark that ignited between us. In the evening of the same day, they had a family variety show and one of the acts was her and her sister doing a musical theatre-esque performance. This time I was the one who came up to her and shared how impressed I was with her singing and acting abilities. That led into us bonding over our mutual love for theatre and the performing arts. After that, we ended up having multiple one-on-one conversations throughout the camp weekend and the entire camp was buzzing about the potential of us getting together (I mean, we were basically the only single people there at the camp!) By the final day (Monday), I got her number and by Thursday of that week, Rachel ended up making her move and confessed her feelings to me FIRST before I did. I enthusiastically reciprocated my interest and just a week and a half later we were official. Since then, it truly has felt like a fairy tale with how our love story has developed, but more accurately it is a tale of God profoundly working in our lives and answering our many prayers for a partner who would be so mutually invested in a relationship and pursuing Jesus together. We knew very early on that God had brought us together for a very special purpose and we are so excited to start our life together as a married couple!
