FAQs

Question

What time is the Ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 2:15 pm EST. We recommend arriving up to 15 minutes early to give you plenty of time to find your seat, chat with other family and friends, and check out the beautiful venue. IMPORTANT: Please remember to factor in the time change as it will be 1 hour ahead of CST, +2 for MST, and +3 hours for PST. But good news is that it will be Daylight Savings Time as well, which means you get an extra hour of sleep the night before!

Question

How do I RSVP and when is the deadline?

Answer

If you are finding yourself on this page, you are headed in the right direction! On the top of this page there will be a tab which says "RSVP." Click on that and it will have you fill out what you need to confirm your attendance. As for the deadline, we would ask that you RSVP no later than Sunday, September 28th.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Please dress in formal or semi-formal attire--suits are welcome but not required. Kindly avoid jeans. We ask that guests wear earth tones and refrain from red, bright/neon colors, or purple (our wedding color).

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

Unless you have family/friends near Chicago or northwest Indiana who can lend you a car, a rental car will be necessary as the venue is about 100 miles from Chicago and 50 miles from South Bend. Fortunately, you can rent at a discounted price from Avis and Hertz using our group discount codes (see "Travel" tab for more details.)

Question

Is it an indoor or outdoor wedding?

Answer

We hope to have an outdoor ceremony (weather-depending) and then we will celebrate inside for the reception. The backup option will be an indoor ceremony and reception, but we'd still recommend an extra coat just in case!

Question

Where can I park?

Answer

The venue has plenty of parking space to accommodate for all wedding guests.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We'd ask you that you refrain from taking pictures with your phone or camera during the ceremony. But afterwards you are more than welcome to take pictures during the coffee/social hour and reception!

Question

Where can I go to church?

Answer

We know our wedding is on a Sunday, so if you're a Christian, we don't want to keep you from getting to fellowship and worship with other believers before our wedding. You would be a welcome guest at our home church in Mishawaka. (We recommend going to the 9:50 am service which should give you plenty of time to enjoy a brunch afterwards and to arrive at our venue with plenty of time to spare.)
