Memorial Union Terrace
This is our student union that looks directly out onto the water! There is usually some form of entertainment going after 7pm! There are multiple restaurants inside, but we go for the pitchers of beer and ice cream! This is a MUST DO for all of those traveling from out of town! Sometimes, we grab some grub on State Street and walk it down to the terrace to grab a beer! You really can't beat the sunsets and atmosphere at the terrace!
Madison Farmer's Market
Every Saturday morning you can walk up to the capitol and be welcomed with smells of fresh cheesy bread, cinnamon rolls, pumpkin bread, coffee & apple cider. Take a stroll around and see all the local farmers' wonderful vegetables along with colorful bouquets of flowers at each tent that lines the square! We'd be sure to try some squeaky cheese and Stella's Cheesy Bread!
State Street
Want a place to walk around and get a vibe of our college town? This street is filled with a bunch of local coffee shops, bookstores, boutiques, restaurants and bars! It leads into the capitol building on one side and into campus on the other. It's almost always buzzing with people and energy! If you're looking for something to do Friday around lunch time, there are really phenomenal food trucks that congregate at the end of state street towards the campus side in Library Mall! They have all sorts of food and is usually bustling with good energy of kids walking to and from classes!
Gates & Brovi
Taylor-Paige's and Andrew's favorite restaurant and where they both served food ! One of our favorite places for cheese curds, burgers, seafood dishes and cocktails!
Eno Vino Downtown
One of the best views of the capitol and a classy place for cocktails and apps! Would recommend putting in a reservation here if you plan to go after 7pm!
Lucille
Some solid deep dish pizza & cocktails! It's located on the square & one of our favorite vibes in Madison!
Mickies Dairy Bar
Hands down one of THE GO-TO spots in Madison for an awesome massive breakfast near the stadium. You'll find French toast, pancakes, scramblers, coffee cake and amazing malt shakes!
Greenbush Bar
Andrew and Taylor are suckers for a good pizza. Admittingly, we have pizza probably once a week, but who is counting! If you're a fan of thin crust and a hole in the wall vibe, this is your place! This is by far our favorite pizza joint!
The Biergarten at Olbrich Park
A fun outdoor atmosphere located right on the water! They have a list of tap beers & seating. You're even able to bring in your own food!
Young Blood Beer Company

Madison Sourdough
Fresh baked bread and goods don't get better than this! This would be a great spot for breakfast or lunch!
Henry Vilas Zoo
This zoo has more than you would anticipate in the small town of Madison! It's totally FREE and you'll be able to see giraffe, rhinos, tigers, flamingos, polar bears, penguins, and quite an assortment of monkeys! This is a nice place to spend a couple of hours! Right next door is a public park that we love to picnic!
