We met in 2022 while serving in our church’s discipleship school and doing homeless outreach. From the start, there was a natural ease between us—but our story didn’t begin right away. For a couple of years, we were just friends who loved Jesus and loved being part of His Church. In August 2024, something changed. Our friendship took another step forward, and something just felt right. Things moved quickly, but never felt rushed. We found ourselves spending hours talking, laughing, FaceTiming, and going on long walks—building something meaningful and steady right from the start. Some of our favorite memories are the simple ones—like a late-night Walmart run that turned into nonstop laughter and oddly similar levels of shopping efficiency, or simple times sitting by the water at Green Lake talking for hours. We’ve visited each other’s hometowns, met the people who shaped our stories, and shared many quiet (some not so) moments of worship and prayer. Through it all, we've grown closer to God and to each other. The proposal was classic Caleb—creative and full of surprise. He popped out from behind a tree during one of Kloee’s ministry meetings and popped the question. Even though Kloee suspected everything could be a proposal, he still managed to catch her completely off guard. We’re thankful—for God’s timing, for a friendship that came first, and for the love we’ve found in each other. This relationship has been full of joy, depth, and so much laughter—and we can’t wait for what’s ahead.
