Flying to Puerto Vallarta

We recommend exploring Puerto Vallarta on this trip, especially as our wedding is the weekend before the US Thanksgiving holiday. Fly into Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). The airport is 30-40 mins from Zona Romantica (Old Vallarta or Old Town). Direct flights to Puerto Vallarta are available from major cities such as Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, and Denver.

We recommend reserving a car service from the Puerto Vallarta Airport to your accommodations. There are many available, but we have used Superior many times and have always been pleased.

Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta’s exclusive beach, Las Estacas, is surrounded by cliffs and the sound of waves. This is one of the closer hotels to the wedding venue.

Money

In general, it is recommended to carry cash in Puerto Vallarta. Most places will accept US dollars and Mexican pesos. Major hotels and restaurants will accept credit cards. Cabs and smaller venues may only accept cash.
