What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?

Answer

We're hardy folk and the show will go on rain or shine (or snow, heaven help us)! Check the weekend forecast and dress appropriately for outdoor conditions. There will be some protection from the elements (i.e. roofs, but no walls) but plan to be outside for the whole celebration.

What should I wear?

Answer

There is no dress code. Feel free to sport any casual to semi-formal attire that will keep you cool/warm (see above) while at the same time allowing for participation in a serious game of corn-hole or badminton.

Will I need to pay for parking at the venue?

Answer

Glad you asked! We're so excited you're coming that we're happy to cover the daily parking fee! We've included a "golden ticket" with your invitation. Present this ticket at the park entrance for free admittance (one per vehicle).

Where should I stay?

Answer

Thanks to the Mayo Clinic, there is no shortage of accommodations in this town. We still have some rooms blocked off at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Rochester through Aug 11th (507-258-7300). An additional tip: You will find better hotel rates outside the downtown area. Chester Woods Park also houses a campground, if you want to rough it (507-285-7050).
